Richard Andrew Pitino, a former wannabe legendary Boston coach, once said, “Larry Bird is not walking through that door, fans. Kevin McHale is not walking through that door and Robert Parish is not walking through that door. And if you expect them to walk through the door, they’re going to be grey and old.”

It was a basketball rant for sure, but it applies to NFL teams that beat the New England Patriots this season.

With Tom Brady, Randy Moss and Tedy Bruschi retired, beating the Patriots isn’t what it used to be. So, Saints fans need to come back down to earth after last week’s big win against New England.

As a matter of fact, Uncle Pdub is putting the Saints on Upset Alert for Sunday’s game at the Houston Texans, but more on that later.

Let’s make some “Sports Takes Sure To Be Wrong (Although We Know The Majority Of These Will Be Right)”. After all, sometimes Uncle Pdub can see the future.

The Packers and Steelers have a bye this week.

Chiefs 37, Broncos 17: If there were ever a “Thursday Night Football” game that called for a blowout, this is it. Denver is 1-4 and there are rumors of the team about to have a fire sale. Just join me in looking away when the cameras find Taylor Swift.

Ravens 24, Titans 20: I still don’t know how the Ravens found a way to lose to the Steelers last week. You know what that means – some team has to pay the price.

Falcons 27, Commanders 20: If the Falcons make the playoffs, which is a distinct possibility, remember last week’s two-point victory against Houston. A typical Falcons team would turn around and lose to a lesser-talented Washington team the following week, but I just don’t see that happening.

Bears 23, Vikings 20: The Bears are trying for their second win in a row, and I think they get it. Meanwhile, Minnesota coach Kevin O’Connell has to be feeling some pressure with the Vikes’ poor start.

Seahawks 31, Bengals 23: A win against Arizona doesn’t have me convinced the Bengals have rightened the ship. I think this young Seattle team is a team to watch. This is a typical Pete Carroll-coach team – young, energetic and fearless.

49ers 35, Browns 23: San Francisco is the class of the NFL. The Browns have a puncher’s chance at winning at home, but I see a late-game TKO by the 49ers.

Texans 27, Saints 23: The Patriots are horrible, that’s why the Saints win last week doesn’t mean much. I like what Houston is building. The Texans have a good young coach, a good young quarterback and a solid roster. The Saints are going to have a tough time and will need a strong start to pull this off.

Jaguars 30, Colts 23: Who would have figured this would be an early marquee AFC South game? I think the Jaguars continue their momentum after their win against Buffalo last week. This will be one of those close games against a good team that the Colts haven’t learned how to win yet.

Dolphins 33, Panthers 21: Miami’s schedule is about to get though after this game. So, the Dolphins can’t afford to have a slip up here.

Raiders 28, Patriots 20: I think the Patriots are so bad that legendary coach Bill Belichick is going to get forced out of a job at the end of the season.

Lions 24, Buccaneers 16: I think the Tampa Bay defense is too good to let Detroit run over them for an easy win. It’s hard not to like the moxie and fight of Buccaneers’ QB Baker Mayfield, but the Lions are too good.

Rams 34, Cardinals 27: The Cardinals play hard. That’s it. The Rams are the better team playing at home.

Eagles 26, Jets 23: The Jets defense should keep this game close, but the team with the better QB (Jalen Hurts) is going to prevail. Look for Hurts to win this game with some key plays down the stretch.

Bills 34, Giants 17: The injured Giants have no chance against an angry Buffalo team still seething after an upset loss to Jacksonville last week.

Chargers 38, Cowboys 31: Dallas won’t be able to score enough to keep up with L.A. in this game.
