WARNING: You might want to get something flame retardant before you read this…

Why? Because Uncle Pdub has been on fiya with his NFL picks lately. I was 11-5 two weeks ago. I was 12-2 last week.

Can you hear that sound?

It’s some sizzling, baby.

Here are some more “Sports Takes Sure To Be Wrong (Although We Know The Majority Of These Will Be Right).”

The Chiefs, Rams, Dolphins and Eagles have byes this week, so Philadelphia has a legitimate reason not to have an on-field penalty this Sunday.

Panthers 17, Bears 13: Let’s face it – both of these teams are offensively challenged. Justin Fields is still out with a thumb injury, which means Chicago has to endure another week of Tyson Bagent at QB. This game will be ugly to watch, so no one would get mad if you switched to something more interesting on C-SPAN. Remember my rule: When in doubt always pick the team with the better QB, and that’s Panthers QB Bryce Young – barely.

Patriots 23, Colts 20: The Colts are the better team, but the Patriots are the more desperate team. Remember when this game meant Peyton Manning vs. Tom Brady? Ah, the good old days.

Ravens 27, Browns 23: The Ravens are one of the top two teams in the AFC along Cincinnati. Cleveland QB Deshaun Watson recently said his injured shoulder was a “work in progress,” which means one thing: The sharks on the Ravens defense will be out for blood on their home field.

Bengals 30, Texans 20: Lost in how great the Bengals offensive has been playing lately is the fact that their defense has been just as good. Houston has a great future, but this is a step up in class that it can’t handle yet.

49ers 31, Jaguars 24: I just can’t see San Francisco losing four games in a row. Although Jacksonville with its young, playoff-tested Jaguars are good enough to pull off the feat. We’ll play it safe on this pick.

Saints 33, Vikings 20: Memo to Minnesota fans – The Saints aren’t like the Falcons when it comes to defensive letdowns against backup quarterbacks. This should be another strong game for the guys in black and gold.

Steelers 23, Packers 17: Pittsburgh wins with defense, and that defense figures to carry it against Green Bay, which has been struggling offensively. The only thing about the Steelers is that they rarely play easy games.

Titans 26, Buccaneers 23: I think Tennessee has found something in QB Will Levis. Levis is young and tough with a strong arm. The Titans were right to name him the starter for the rest of the season. Meanwhile, the Buccaneers’ slide continues.

Falcons 31, Cardinals 21: The Cardinals are just too bad for the Falcons to blow this game. Although, this is the kind of game facing a team that has kind of quit that the Falcons are prone to lose.

Chargers 31, Lions 27: This should be a great game. I think the Chargers have started to figure things out. The Lions are good, but they won’t be able to produce the “A” game needed to get this win on the road.

Cowboys 38, Giants 17: This is the redemption game for Dallas after the close loss at Philadelphia last week. The Giants are a mess.

Seahawks 28, Commanders 20: Washington isn’t good enough to go across country to pull off this win. Look for Seattle to get back on track after being embarrassed in Baltimore last week.

Raiders 20, Jets 16: The Jets offensive has spent the week being blasted by the New York media, which practically guarantees they should play better in this game. I just think Jets QB Zach Wilson is going to make some kind of turnover or turnovers that are going to hand this game to the home team.

Bills 37, Bronchos 24: The Bills are invincible at home. The Broncos have played better lately, but they aren’t good enough to get this win.
