Area Prep Soccer Report for Sunday, Dec. 23

Saturday was a bad weather day throughout south Louisiana.

The result was the cancellation of a host of scheduled soccer matches around the state.

There were four played and on the boys side, De La Salle blanked Leesville 2-0 while Mandeville went to Destrehan and shutout the Wildcats 4-0.

The Skippers (9-4-2) take a holiday break before returning to action on Jan. 3 against Neville.

In girls action, Fontainebleau won at Dutchtown 2-1 while Mount Carmel Academy shutout St. Joseph’s Academy 2-0.

The Cubs (8-2-1) take the Christmas break as well before returning to action on Dec. 26 in the Lakeshore Holiday Classic.
