Soccer: Mandeville edges Dutchtown

Area Prep Soccer Report for Wednesday, Jan. 3

In a matchup of two highly ranked teams and contenders in Division I, Mandeville went on the road Tuesday and edged Dutchtown 1-0.

Mandeville is sixth in the latest Division I power ratings while Dutchtown is ninth.

Mandeville’s only two losses this season came at the hands of the top two teams in the Division I power rankings in Catholic of Baton Rouge and Jesuit.

Mandeville (10-2-4) will host Northshore Friday at 6 p.m. in the District 5-I opener for both teams.

The Griffins (9-3-4) will play at E.D. White Catholic Saturday at 1 p.m.
