Soccer: Holy Cross scores big road win at St. Thomas More
Area Prep Soccer Report for Saturday, Dec. 16
Holy Cross is always a top contender for the boys Division II state soccer championship.
The Tigers won four straight Division II state titles from 2018-2021. One of those title match wins was over powerful St. Thomas More in 2020.
This season’s version of the Tigers are a definite threat to win it all again. That was on full display Friday as Holy Cross shut out St. Thomas More 2-0 in Lafayette in a signature victory.
Ansel Gomez and Andrew Touro each put in a goal for the Tigers.
Holy Cross (7-1-1) is back in action in southwest Louisiana at Episcopal of Acadiana this morning.
