You always want to be playing your best, peaking at the end of the season.

Cabrini has followed that script.

The Crescents won their fifth straight match, edging Kenner Discovery 2-1 Wednesday in Kenner in a District 7-III match.

Cabrini took a 1-0 halftime lead as Hannah Rose scoring off a corner kick from Brenna Marrione.

The Crescents got the game-winning goal on an own-goal by Kenner Discovery off another corner kick by Marrione to make it 2-0.

The Swamp Owls got a late goal on a rebound from a direct free kick but it was not enough.

Cabrini (8-6, 4-0) will square off with Archbishop Hannan Thursday for the district title as the Hawks are also 4-0 in the league.

Kenner Discovery (11-10-1, 1-4) will host Riverside Academy Friday.
