Soccer: Bonnabel wins at Hannan, East Jeff blanks West Jeff

Area Prep Soccer Report for Tuesday, Dec. 1

In boys soccer action Monday, Bonnabel went to the north shore and handled Archbishop Hannan 5-2.

The game was close for a half as the Bruins led 1-0 at halftime before taking full control in the second half.

Senior Andres Santos led the charge with a pair of goals and an assist for Bonnabel. Junior Sebastian Ramos had a goal and three assists. Senior Edson Bucardo and sophomore Kevin Flores each added a goal for the Bruins. Sophomore Viktor Lobo had six saves in goal for Bonnabel.

The Bruins (2-0) return to action Wednesday at Newman at 7 p.m. while the Hawks (1-1-2) will next host Haynes Academy on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 5:30 p.m.

East Jefferson shutout Jefferson Parish rival West Jefferson 5-0.

Senior Chris Paz was terrific for the Warriors with a hat trick while sophomore Dany Cuellar and Kevin Negrete each added a goal for East Jefferson.

The Warriors (2-1) return to action Wednesday, hosting Mandeville at 6:30 p.m. at Joe Yenni Stadium while the Buccaneers (1-1) will entertain John Ehret next Monday at 6 p.m. at Hoss Memtsas Stadium.
