Shaw tops Kenner Discovery in bowling

Archbishop Shaw bounced back from a slow start to defeat Kenner Discovery 24-3 in boys high school bowling action Tuesday at AMF All Star Lanes in Kenner.

The teams split the six individual points in the opening game before the Eagles won all six matches in the second and third games, claiming the bonus points for total pins in each game. Shaw turned in a blistering 1,329 team score in game two.

Cadence Chesterman led the Eagles with games of 224 and 244 from the anchor position before sitting out the final game. Gage Perrin had a 617 series, including a 275 game, and Robbie Traylor bowled a 616 from the leadoff position for Shaw.

Dominic Orlando led Kenner Discovery with a 625 series, including a 254 in the opening game.
