Michael FloydThe New Orleans Saints have added another pair of veterans to compete in training camp at the wide receiver spot.

Free agent wide receivers Michael Floyd and Brandon Tate signed with the Saints on Tuesday.

The 28-year old Floyd played in Minnesota last season after earning a Super Bowl ring the previous year with New England. Before those stops, the former Cardinals first round pick spent four seasons in Arizona.

Floyd’s background off the field includes a 2017 DUI conviction in Arizona resulting in a four-game suspension under the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

Last season, the Notre Dame product managed just 10 catches for 78 yards in 11 games. His best NFL campaign came in 2013 when he had career-highs with 65 catches for 1,041 yards.

The 30-year old Tate returned 20 punts for 193 yards and 28 kickoffs for 548 yards last season with Buffalo, his second with the Bills. Mostly used a return specialist in his NFL career, Tate has also spent time with the Bengals and Patriots.
