The Saints added wide receivers Michael Floyd and Brandon Tate to compete for a backup receiver spot Tuesday.

A more pressing area of concern, offensive line, was also addressed with the signing of Don Barclay.

The versatile Barclay has played every offensive line spot in his six year NFL career. He spent five full seasons with the Packers, making 24 starts, before finishing last season with the Lions.

Green Bay cut Barclay (6-4, 305) loose from injured reserve last year. The West Virginia product ended his season on IR after playing in three games with one start in Detroit due to concussion issues.

Barclay’s versatility could help him earn a roster spot with the Saints, provided he can stay healthy, since the potential backups in camp are relatively thin on experience outside of Jermon Bushrod.
