Roster moves continue as the Saints approach their season opener – the “home” game against the Packers in Jacksonville.

New Orleans will re-sign wide receiver Chris Hogan and quarterback Trevor Siemian, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo first reported Monday.

The two veterans were expected to return after being released last week when the Saints set their intial 53-man roster. Siemian will serve as the gameday backup to starter Jameis Winston while Taysom Hill assumes the versatile weapon role in the offense.

New Orleans was reportedly set to add veteran defensive tackles Montravius Adams and Jaleel Johnson to the active roster but only Adams has been signed to a full deal while Johnson is among the practice squad additions the team announced Monday evening.

The New Orleans Saints announced that they have re-signed quarterback Trevor Siemian, wide receiver Chris Hogan and signed defensive tackle Montravius Adams. The club has also signed the following players to the practice squad: defensive backs Ka’Dar Hollman, Jordan Miller and Dylan Mabin, defensive end Jalyn Holmes, defensive tackle Jaleel Johnson, kicker Aldrick Rosas and offensive lineman Derrick Kelly II. The club has also placed center/guard Will Clapp, kicker Wil Lutz and tight end Nick Vannett on Injured Reserve and terminated the practice squad contract of linebacker Wynton McManis. The announcements were made by Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis.

The moves are not done with no kicker currently on the active roster and the reported signing of cornerback Desmond Trufant. Rosas will likely still end up kicking for the Saints this week.

New Orleans and Green Bay are set for kickoff at 3:25 p.m. Sunday.
