Saints Injury Report: Hendrickson and Easton out while Kamara participates virtually Thursday
While Taysom Hill returned to practice in full Thursday after being limited Wednesday with a concussion, Nick Easton remained out with his concussion and now star defensive end was out with his neck injury after being limited on Wednesday. Marcus Williams also practiced in full so he will be good to return after missing last week’s win at Carolina. Josh Hill remained limited (hand), as did safety J.T. Gray (shoulder).
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Alvin Kamara has a live video decoder at home to watch practice and listens to coach Sean Payton, who has a microphone to direct Kamara through plays and to get his specific assignments. Sunday is the first day that Kamara is eligible to return from the reserve/COVID-19 list if he passes all of the league’s coronavirus protocols the remainder of the week.
Ian Rapaport of NFL Network reported that Michael Thomas returned to practice Wednesday on a limited basis, is making progress and barring a setback, is expected to return to action to play Sunday.
The Bears still had four players out Thursday, including former Tulane star Darnell Mooney, along with wideout Cordarrelle Patterson, defensive back Buster Skrine and linebacker Roquan Smith. Defensive back Jaylon Johnson was limited.
