NEW ORLEANS SAINTS POOL REPORT
FRIDAY, AUG. 21

LENGTH: 2 hours
ABSENT: Andrus Peat, Anthony Chickillo, Shy Tuttle, Taysom Hill

DID NOT PARTICIPATE IN TEAM DRILLS: Josh Hill

OFFENSIVE LINE UPDATE: The Saints again kept Erik McCoy at center, Cesar Ruiz at right guard, Nick Easton and left guard with Andrus Peat out

HIGHLIGHTS: The Saints showed a noticeable early improvement in team drills with Ryan Ramczyk and Terron Armstead back in the lineup after they got a breather yesterday, although overall the defense appeared to continue its hot streak. Drew Brees opened up that period with four straight completions to Michael Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders, Thomas again and Jared Cook before attempting a pass downfield (Tre’Quan Smith was in the area). Smith later had a nice one-handed catch from Brees. Later during team drills, Janoris Jenkins batted down a pass intended for Thomas, visibly frustrating Brees. Among the defensive highlights were a pass breakup by Patrick Robinson and an interception by P.J. Williams off a Jameis Winston pass attempt to Tommy Stevens.
