Report: Saints executive Fontenot among finalists for Falcons job
New Orleans Saints vice president/assistant general manager of pro personnel Terry Fontenot is one of “two or three finalists” for the Atlanta Falcons’ general manager job, league sources told ESPN.
If the Falcons hire Fontenot, New Orleans will receive two added third-round picks in back-to-back years as compensation by NFL rules.
Fontenot, the former Tulane defensive back out of Lake Charles, has spent the last 16 years with the Saints in numerous roles involving scouting and player personnel.
