Tulane football signed 16 during the early 2024 signing period, but the Green Wave have already added nine more via the transfer portal.

Four-star recruit Jayden Lewis, rated as the 20th best cover cornerback in the country, is a new Tulane commitment. He gave his verbal without taking an official visit to campus.

Originally an Auburn pledge last February 1, he backed out of that commitment October 17. Lewis fielded offers from Auburn, Arkansas, Miss. State, Georgia Tech, Florida, Colorado, Kentucky, UAB, UCF, Louisville, Missouri, Maryland, Penn State and Tennessee.

Lewis has outstanding speed, having captured Alabama state titles in the 100- and 200-meters as a junior. He turned in a 10.72 in the 100 and 21.89 in the 200.
