The proverbial other shoe finally dropped Sunday when LSU landed their greatly anticipated running back prospect for the 2020 signing class.

Lancaster, Texas four-star back Kevontre Bradford pledged to the Tigers. He visited Tigertown this weekend before making his decision.

LSU was heavily linked at times to the top rated running back in the class, Zach Evans from Houston, Texas. Evans’ indecision in the process played a role in the Tigers’ cooling a bit on him.

The 5-foot-11, 190 pounder Bradford runs a 4.4 forty. He tallied 1,563 yards (9.2 yard average) with 23 touchdowns nd added a pair of scores as a receiver this past season. He produced 1,164 yards rushing in 2018 (10.4 yard average) with 14 scores.

Ohio State, Texas, Florida State and Oklahoma State coveted Bradford, and Missouri made a gallant run at the prized running back as well.

Bradford possesses terrific acceleration and the ability to start-and-stop while regaining speed quickly. He runs a little high, taking some added pounding. Although the learning curve is steep regarding the LSU offense, he is physically ready to contribute as a true freshman this fall.

Earlier Sunday, Mississippi prep wide receiver Alex Adams committed to the Tigers for 2020.
