Tulane added their third pledge for the 2019 football recruting class Sunday.
Jackson Fort, a 3 star offensive guard from The Woodlands outside of Houston, committed the Green Wave one week after receiving an offer. The 6-foot-4, 287 pound prospect also considered UTEP, Abilene Christian and Central Arkansas.
Expected to play inside at guard on the college level, Fort is explosive out of his stance, maintains good pad level and has good knee bend.
West Jefferson cornerback Greg Brooks, Jr. made it official as well with his commitment to Mississippi State.
Brooks (5-11, 178; 4.55 speed) was courted by Bulldogs assistants Terrell Buckley and Charles Huff. Missouri, Tulane, UAB, UNLV, Kentucky, Kansas, Vanderbilt, Virginia, ULL, ULM, Arkansas, Boston College, Colorado State, Georgia Tech, Memphis and Indiana were other options. He made unofficial visits to Starkville on Aoril 4 and then again this week.
His dad Greg, Sr. played at Archbishop Shaw before moving onto to play at Southern Miss and then the Cincinnati Bengals.
Mississippi State now has 16 commitments for 2019 after securing three pledges within the past four days.
Brooks tallied 55 tackles with five interceptions for the Buccaneers in 2017. He possesses outstanding coverage skills and ball awareness with good closing speed. He also takes solid angles to the ball.
