LSU has dipped into its football legacy for the latest commitment for the 2025 cycle.

Sulphur tight end JD LaFleur pledged to the Tigers.

The son of former LSU tight end David LaFleur made his decision known on the first day coaches can contact 2025 recruits.

The elder LaFleur, 6-foot-6 and 220 pounds, was an All-American and first round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in the mid-1990’s. His son is a top tight end recruit nationally in his class with numerous Power 5 offers including Texas, Texas A&M, Florida, Miami and Texas Tech.
