UL Lafayette has secured half a dozen pledges within the past seven days.

The latest addition is Tyree Skipper, a promising athlete from Sophie B. Wright. The 6-foot-2, 185 pounder plays quarterback and safety for the Warriors, but his college future lies on defense. He considered offers from McNeese and Southeastern.

Skippers, a strong team leader, is a playmaker behind center and in the backend of a defense. He is a sure tackler in space and closes quickly on the ball.
