St. Augustine two-way star baseball player Shannon Martin has committed to Texas Southern.

A senior Martin (5-8, 157) was a standout the Purple Knights in the 2021 season, batting .325 with eight doubles, three triples, 30 RBI and 22 runs scored while playing third base much of the time.

On the mound, Martin was 4-2 with a 2.52 ERA with 35 strikeouts.
