LSU’s new head coach Matt McMahon has added his first high major men’s basketball transfer.

North Carolina State guard Cam Hayes has announced that he has committed to the Tigers.

The Greensboro, N.C. native started in 27 games during his two seasons with the Wolfpack, averaging 7.0 points and 2.1 assists per game last year. The 6-foot-3, 175 pounder is primarily a point guard who brings plus athleticism to the position. He shot 40% from the floor overall and 30% at NC State.

Hayes is the fourth transfer secured by the new LSU staff this offseason, joining guards Trae Hannibal and Justice Hill from Murray State along with forward Kendal Coleman from Northwestern State.
