LSU continues to add top flight offensive linemen in the 2024 recruiting class.

Coen Echols from Katy, Texas pledged Friday to the Tigers after it came down to an LSU-Auburn finish.

The 6-4, 290-pound Echols originally committed to Texas A&M on June 23 but decommitted December 8. His visit to LSU on December 15 sealed the deal.

Echols requested a sit down meeting with LSU offensive line coach Brad Davis, who was instrumental in the final outcome. LSU tackle Will Campbell also played a role, acting as Echols’ host during his visit to Baton Rouge.

Capable of lining up as a tackle, guard or center, Echols could develop into a outstanding center if he concentrates in that area. He plays with both leverage and power, finishing blocks and playing with a chip on his shoulder.

Slotted as the 12th best tackle, Echols is behind only 5-star signee Weston Davis – the 5th rated overall tackle in the class – in LSU’s 2024 class.
