One of the very best, if not the best offensive line prospect in the New Orleans area is staying local.

Josh Remetich of Holy Cross has committed to Tulane, choosing the Green Wave over Boston College, Colorado State, Houston, Kansas Kansas State, Kentucky, Louisiana Tech, Louisville, Memphis, Mississippi State, Missouri, Nicholls, Northwestern State, Ole Miss, SMU, South Alabama, Southern, Southeastern Louisiana, Texas-San Antonio, Troy, UAB, UL-Lafayette, ULM, UNLV, Virginia, Wake Forest and West Virginia.

The 6-foot-4, 280-pound Remetich is ranked anywhere from a top 20 to a top 30 prospect in Louisiana by virtually all services. Remetich has the size and reach to be a solid pass blocker and he is a physical player who has excelled in the run game.

“Remetich is a returning starter, a player who continues to improve and we expect will be better this season,” Holy Cross coach Guy Lecompte said. “Josh is one of the best offensive linemen I’ve had an opportunity to coach in 25 years. He loves the game and he will easily qualify academically. Tulane is getting an excellent player who has tremendous upside. Josh finishes blocks very well. He is mild off the field but on the field, he finishes his blocks and he is violent. That’s why so many people like him. He is solid physically, in good shape.”

Remetich is the 14th commit for the Class of 2020 for Willie Fritz, who now has 11 three-star players, according to 247 Sports.

Remetich is the fourth commit from south Louisiana, including Angelo Anderson of John Curtis Christian, Cornelius Dyson of Kentwood and Justin Ibieta of Country Day.
