Chester Kimbrough, a three-star prospect in the 2019 signing class, will transfer from Florida to Michigan State after two college seasons.

The 5-foot-11, 168-pound Kimbrough was the 21st overall ranked player in Louisiana and the fifth rated cornerback by 247 sports. He played at Warren Easton under head coach Jerry Phillips.

Kimbrough, who will be immediately eligible, considered LSU, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi State, Missouri, Tulane, Ole Miss, Kansas, Michigan, Arkansas and ULL before ultimately signing with the Gators. He will have three years of eligibility as he joins the Spartans. Kimbrough becomes the seventh overall transfer to land at Michigan State this offseason.

In 17 games at Florida, he recorded 15 tackles and allowed five receptions on 12 targeted passes.

Kimbrough possesses excellent footwork as a cover cornerback with good speed and a 36.5″ vertical jump. He is very physical and fluid in his hips.
