The bye week does not mean LSU coaches are not busy. The recruiting show must go on.

Cypress Ranch (Texas) linebacker Christian Brathwaite announced his commitment to LSU on Wednesday via Twitter.

The four-star 2023 recruit originally committed to Baylor on Jan. 30 but flipped to the Tigers after steady pursuit from the LSU staff. He sat out most of his junior year due to injury but was all-district as a sophomore.

Brathwaite (6-1, 225) also received offers from Cal, Colorado, Kansas, Tennessee and Texas Tech. He joins Whit Weeks out of Oconee County High School (Watkinsville, Ga.) as linebacker commitments in LSU’s 2023 class so far.
