Recruiting: Elite prep pitcher Chase Shores commits to LSU

Legacy High School (Texas) pitcher Chase Shores committed to Thursday to LSU, making his decision known via Twitter.

The 6-foot-8 right-hander is a top MLB draft prospect and with a fastball that reaches the upper 90s. Baseball America lists Shores No. 19 among high school players eligible for the 2022 draft.

Shores was previously committed to Oklahoma State.
