Recruiting: Ascension Episcopal DT Maxie Baudoin IV signs with Tulane

Tulane’s 2022 signing class expanded by one Friday with the addition of defensive tackle Maxie Baudoin IV.

The 6-foot-3, 290 pounder is a three-star recruit with 5.1 40-yard dash speed hails from Ascension Episcopal in Younsgville, La.

Hotly pursued by Auburn, once thought to be the favorite, Baudoin had offers from Arkansas, Arizona State, USC, Virginia, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Florida, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Michigan State, ULL, Kentucky, Indiana, Houston and Duke.

Baudoin totaled 59 tackles this past season with 23 tackles for losses and 11 sacks. He is very disruptive, beats double team blocks, runs a hot motor and chases down plays. Baudoin squats 415 lbs. and bench presses 305. He is someone who may be able to contribute early in 2022.
