The 6-foot-1, 176 pounder with 4.5 speed was being recruited by assistant coached Corey Raymond and Bill Busch of LSU. Clark had previously scheduled a visit to Baton Rouge for late April. Kansas and LSU were widely thought to be the frontrunners.
Clark also considered offers from Tulane, TCU, Ole Miss and ULL. He received an offer from Virginia in January and took a visit April 5.
Running back Michael Hollins from University Lab and WR Davion Wicks from Plaquemine are current members of the Virginia squad.
Although Clark spent time at quarterback for ASH, he managed three interceptions in 2018.
