LSU added their 18th verbal 2024 pledge and the second offensive lineman in that group Friday when Mooresville, North Carolina’s Ethan Calloway pledged to the Purple and Gold.

Tiger sssistants Brad Davis and Mike Denbrock collaborated on the recruitment of Calloway, who paired his final choices to LSU, Florida, Georgia, Penn State and North Carolina. In the end, Florida State, Tennessee and Auburn were the other primary contenders. He visited the Baton Rouge campus on June 23.

The 6-foot-7, 300 pounder is the classic left tackle prototype. Calloway has great length, locates his target immediately upon the snap, utlizes quick feet, leads interference on wide sweeps, displays good mobility, reaches the second level to make impact blocks and excels as an edge pass protector. He squats 500 pounds, cleans 260 and bench presses over 300 with much more potential over time to add more strength.

Calloway is the top ranked offensive lineman in his state and the 17th rated lineman overall nationally in the 2024 class.
