Pelicans sign Malcolm Hill to two-way contract, Jalen Crutcher to 10-day contract

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that the team has signed forward Malcolm Hill to a two-way contract and guard Jalen Crutcher to a 10-day contract. Per team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Hill, 6-6, 220, has appeared in 24 career games across two seasons with the Atlanta Hawks and Chicago Bulls, recording averages of 3.2 points and 1.6 rebounds in 9.2 minutes per contest.

Hill most recently appeared in 33 games (all starts) this season with the Pelicans’ G League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron, averaging 22.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 34.9 minutes per contest. Hill was recently signed to a 10-day by New Orleans on January 27.

Crutcher has been assigned to the Birmingham Squadron, the team’s NBA G League affiliate.

Crutcher, 6-2, 175, has appeared in 36 games (all starts) this season with Birmingham, averaging 17.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 5.6 assists in 36.5 minutes per contest. Across three seasons, Crutcher holds career G League averages of 16.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 34.4 minutes per contest while shooting .401 from three-point range.

New Orleans’s roster now stands at 18 players, including three two-way players.
