Losing Anthony Davis to a groin injury early on the fourth quarter put the New Orleans Pelicans on the ropes. Rookie guard Donovan Mitchell delivered the knockout blow.

Mitchell keyed a late surge for the Utah Jazz with a career-high 41 points and lifted Utah to a 114-108 win over New Orleans on Friday night. Along the way, he set a franchise rookie scoring record and left the Pelicans in awe of his ability to take over the game.
