Pelicans forward Trey Murphy III suffers knee injury
New Orleans Pelicans forward Trey Murphy III suffered a left knee injury during an offseason workout and may need surgery, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski first reported Tuesday.

The 17th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft could miss at least part of the 2023-24 season, depending on the extent of the meniscus damage.
Last season, Murphy averaged 14.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 48.4 percent from the field including 40.6 percent from three point range.
