New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram will miss weeks of action as the final stretch of the regular season approaches.

The team announced Friday that former All-Star underwent an MRI after hyperextending his left knee during the third quarter of Thursday’s road defeat against the Orlando Magic. The results of the MRI revealed a left knee bone contusion.

Ingram will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

New Orleans (42-27) is fifth in the NBA Western Conference.
