Patrick Taylor announces Lance Reine as new head softball coach

Patrick Taylor Academy is excited to announce the hiring for our new head softball coach, Mr. Lance Reine.

Coach Reine comes to the Tigers after four years coaching softball at Thomas Jefferson High School.

Coach Caroline Myers has decided to step down after 9 years, of building the program to its current level, to focus on her classroom responsibilities. Coach Myers has made the playoffs every year and made it to the 3rd round this season. Coach Myers was named district 9-3A coach of the year for the 2024 season.

Coach Reine looks to continue to build on the success of his predecessor around a core of young players. The Tigers will be returning 6 starters to the program next season, four of which were first team all district players including district MVP sophomore Ashtyn Rogers. Coach Reine has also been a coach with NOLA Fastpitch Softball for the past 10 years.
