My Boy Jack draws nine hole for 105th Louisiana Derby

My Boy Jack has been established as the early morning line favorite for the 105th running of the Grade two Louisiana Derby next Saturday, Mar. 24 at Fair Grounds.

Owned by Don’t Tell My Wife Stables and Monomoy Stables LLC, My Boy Jack dres the ninth post position in the ten-horse race.

My Boy Jack is trained by Keith Desormeaux of Maurice and will be ridden by Kent Desormeaux.

Calumet Farms’ Risen Star Stakes winner Bravazo is the co-second choice at 7-2 and drew the inside post position. Bravazo is trained by D. Wayne Lukas.

Noble Indy is also at 7-2, trained by Todd Pletcher and owned by WinStar Farm LLC. Noble Indy has the second post position.

Snapper Sinclair, trained by Steve Asmussen, is at 9-2 odds and drew the seventh post position. Snapper Sinclair is owned by Bloom Racing Stable LLC.

The race carries a $1 million purse and 170 qualifying points toward the Grade one Kentucky Derby on May 5 at Churchhill Downs in Louisville.

The Louisiana Derby will go at 5:21 p.m. as the 11th race on a 14-race card next Saturday.
