Junior quarterback Myles Brennan returned to practice Wednesday but struggled physically due to injury.

LSU head coach Ed Orgeron said the pain from a tear in his abdomen which kept Brennan out the past two games is still too great.

Following a bye week, LSU hosts Alabama on Saturday, November 14 at 5 p.m. but it appears likely the Tigers will again be without their starting quarterback.

Orgeron said during the weekly SEC Teleconference on Wednesday that the plan was to work Brennan back into action “day-by-day.”

“We’re going to give him some reps, see how he does and then we’ll take it day-by-day. Today will be the first day he actually practices with the team. He’s going to be dressed in full gear, he’s not going to take every rep. We’re going to see how far he can go,” says Orgeron.

Through LSU’s first three games, Brennan threw for 1,112 yards, 11 touchdowns with three interceptions.
