It appears LSU will need new names under Brian Kelly’s watch to bolster their wide receiver room this offseason.

Freshman wideout Deion Smith will enter the transfer portal, first reported Geaux247.

The Mississippi product had 11 receptions for 186 yards and two touchdowns this past season. Smith was the consensus top recruit out of the Magnolia state in the last recruiting cycle.

Meanwhile, longtime 2022 commitment Decoldest Crawford has decided to back away from his pledge to reopen the recruiting process. The Greek Oaks High School wide receiver announced his plans Tuesday on Twitter.

Crawford has been committed to the Tigers since October 2019.
