BATON ROUGE – Due to the effects of Hurricane Harvey, the LSU Soccer program announced on Tuesday afternoon that its next home match against the University of Houston scheduled for Sunday at 5 p.m. CT has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.

“Our hearts are with the people of Houston at a time like this, and we hope the very best for them as they recover from this storm,” said LSU head coach Brian Lee. “Sometimes there are just more important things to consider than playing a soccer game. Our thoughts and prayers are certainly with each and every one of them at this time.”

The Tigers are back in action on Thursday evening as they travel to Washington, D.C. to face George Washington in a match scheduled to kick off at 4 p.m. CT at the Mount Vernon Athletic Complex. With their match on Sunday against Houston canceled, LSU will follow with a road trip to Orlando, Florida, to face No. 24-ranked Central Florida on Friday, Sept. 8, at 6 p.m. CT.
