New Orleans – Due to on-going heavy rains associated with Tropical Storm Harvey in the New Orleans metropolitan region, it has been determined that in the best interests of all parties The 2017 Touchdown Club Luncheon has been canceled.

The annual luncheon, which was scheduled to begin at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday. August 30 at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel, is an opportunity for members and supporters of The Touchdown Club to meet the team before the commencement of the NFL’s regular season schedule.

“The Meet the Saints Luncheon is an annual tradition that so many people, including the players, coaches and administration, look forward to each year. However, in light of the heavy rain that has fallen, and the additional forecasted rain for our area, it is the prudent decision to make at this juncture,” said Theresa Lowe, President of The Touchdown Club of New Orleans. “We apologize for any inconvenience that this decision may cause to those that were planning on attending. We will work closely with the Saints to find an opportunity where we can get together in the future.”
