Area Prep Baseball Report for Monday, April 8

Catholic League-leading Jesuit looks to remain hot when the Blue Jays host three-time defending district champion John Curtis Christian Monday at 3:30 p.m. at John Ryan Stadium.

Jesuit (19-6, 6-0) has won four straight games and eight of its last night. The Blue Jays are currently fourth in the tight Division I LHSAA power ratings. The Patriots (9-12, 3-4) have lost their last two games. Four of their last five losses have come by one run. Jesuit won the first game in the series 2-1 on April 1 at Mike Miley Stadium.

At Mike Miley Stadium, long-time rivals Country Day and St. Martin’s Episcopal collide at 7 p.m. Monday.

The Saints are 10-8 while the Cajuns (8-4) have won two straight games.
