Injury Reports: Saints QB Derek Carr out Wednesday but still hopeful for Sunday vs. Bucs
Saints quarterback Derek Carr was out Wednesday with his sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder. He was not alone.
However, Carr told the media he has not ruled out playing Sunday against Tampa Bay at Caesars Superdome.
The Saints had seven players miss practice Wednesday, including safety Jordan Howden with a finger injury. The rookie replaced the suspended Marcus Maye in the starting lineup against Green Bay. Maye will miss two more games.
Starting guard Cesar Ruiz was out with a concussion while starting cornerback Paulson Adebo remained out with a hamstring injury. Adebo did not play against the Packers. The same is true of Foster Moreau, who remains out with his ankle injury. Jimmy Graham and Ryan Ramczyk both sat out but both were veteran rest days.
Alvin Kamara practiced for the first time since the preseason, having served his three-game suspension, and will play Sunday.
The Buccaneers listed six players out Wednesday, including defensive lineman Vita Vea (pectoral) and former LSU star Devon White (foot).
