Tropical Storm Delta is forecast to reach the northern Gulf of Mexico as a hurricane late this week, and Louisiana high schools have already begun to shuffle their football schedules to accommodate the weather threat.

As a result, the high school schedule this week will begin on Wednesday, with games moving earlier in the week to avoid the potential weather impacts. One of the matchups Wednesday is a blockbuster between four-time defending Class 4A champion Edna Karr and Catholic High in Baton Rouge.

Delta was elevated to a category 1 hurricane at Monday’s 7 p.m. CDT advisory and could strengthen to a Category 3 hurricane. Southeast Louisiana is in the cone of uncertainty for Delta, which could make landfall on Friday.

Below is an ongoing list of schedule changes. Kickoff times are at 7 p.m. unless noted otherwise. Please check back to this story often for updates.
