Holy Savior Menard, St.Joseph’s, Episcopal, Catholic top Cross Country rankings
With the state championship meet a week away in Natchitoches (Nov. 13-14), Holy Savior Menard and St. Joseph’s Academy top the latest Louisiana Coaches Cross Country Poll among girls while Episcopal and Catholic of Baton Rouge sit atop the boys rankings.
Among the girls small schools, Holy Savior Menard is the unanimous top-ranked team with St. Thomas Aquinas second. Episcopal is third with St. Martin’s Episcopal fourth and Newman fifth. McGehee is eighth.
In the girls large school rankings, St. Joseph’s Academy is the No. 1 team with Mandeville second. St. Michael’s is third with Vandebilt Catholic fourth and Dominican fifth. Mount Carmel is seventh and St. Scholastica is eighth.
Episcopal is the unanimous boys small schools top-ranked team with St. Thomas Aquinas second and St. Martin’s Episcopal third. Holy Savior Menard is fourth with Episcopal of Acadiana fifth. Newman is eighth.
Catholic of Baton Rouge is the top-ranked team among the boys large schools, receiving eight first place votes with Brother Martin second. The Crusaders got the other two first place votes. Holy Cross is third, Jesuit is fourth and St. Paul’s is fifth. Mandeville is sixth, Belle Chasse is seventh and John Curtis is tenth.
