Cole Canatella

Holy Cross quarterback Cole Canatella committed to play football for the Millsaps Majors, a Division III program in Jackson, Mississippi.

Canatella was the second leading passer in the New Orleans metro area for the 2023 campaign, tossing for 1,710 yards with 18 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. He completed 70% of his offerings.

The 5-foot-9,175-pound Canatella displays good accuracy with easy ball placement for his receivers to catch. Holy Cross had the best receiving duo in the Catholic League, Koby Young (42 catches for 499 yards and 5 touchdown s) and Krosse Johnson (27 grabs for 496 yards and 6 touchdowns). Young is headed to Houston and Johnson will go to Arkansas. Canatella was instrumental in their success and helped the Tigers secure a No. 1 seed in the state playoffs.

Cole is not opposed to tucking it and running with some toughness when the opportunity presents itself. He has displayed outstanding leadership.

Some may not be familiar with Millsaps football playing in the Southern Athletic Association, but the Majors have dipped into the Crescent City ato build their roster with familiar names.
