Girls Prep Soccer Playoff Soccer Report for Thursday

Three area teams open the LHSAA Girls Prep Soccer Playoffs today.

No. 17 Archbishop Chapelle (11-4-3) makes the drive to No. 16 Belle Chasse (13-8-2) this afternoon for a 5:30 matchup in the opening round of the Division II playoffs. The Cardinals defeated the Chipmunks 2-0 on Nov. 17 at the Central Lafourche Tournament to begin the season before the two sides played to a 1-1 tie on Dec. 11.

Also this afternoon, No. 9 Ben Franklin (14-6-1) plays host to No. 24 South Terrebonne at 3:30 pm on the Lakefront.

In North Louisiana, No. 18 Minden travels to No. 15 Ruston this evening at 5 pm.

There are two Division III matchups today as No. 21 West Feliciana travels to No. 12 Parkview Baptist at 6 pm while No. 20 Franklin Parish plays at No. 13 Cecilia at 6 pm.

In Division IV, No. 14 Country Day (5-8-5) opens its playoff run at home against No. 19 Grace Christian at 4:30 pm while in North Louisiana, No. 17 Evangel Christian heads to No. 16 Ouachita Christian for a 5:30 pm battle. In southwest Louisiana, No. 11 Ascension Episcopal battles No. 22 Calvary Baptist at 5:30 p.m.
