Archbishop Chapelle completed a perfect regular season with a 19.5-7.5 victory over previously unbeaten East Ascension Tuesday at Premier Lanes in Gonzales.

The Chipmunks (12-0) led 6-2 after the first game, but the Spartans rallied to pull within 8.5-7.5 heading into the final game.

Chapelle fired a 984 final game, led by Madalyn Haas’ 223, as it won six of eight points plus the three-point bonus for total pins. The Chipmunks finished with a 2,749 team series.

Jessica Ladd led Chapelle with a 572 series, splitting the three head-to-head points in a tough battle at No. 6 with East Ascension standout Hannah Grather.

Grather finished with a 603 series to lead the Spartans (7-1), who face another unbeaten Thursday in Central of Baton Rouge.

Chapelle’s regular-season body of work, including Tuesday’s win and a pair of victories over defending state champion Academy of Our Lady, could be enough to earn the No. 1 seed in the playoffs. Its unofficial power rating was No. 1 as of last week, just ahead of Central and East Ascension.

Academy of Our Lady 24, St. Amant 3: Also in Gonzales, the Penguins improved to 9-2 with a dominant effort.

AOL had a 2,894 team series, led by senior Danielle Poussard’s 628 series on games of 205-222-201. Lauryn Hartsell opened with a 246 game for the Penguins, while Linzie Bladsacker fired a 242 second game.

The Penguins have one regular season match remaining on March 11.

Mount Carmel 21.5, Salmen 5.5: At Bowling USA in Slidell, the Cubs defeated the Spartans.

Mount Carmel clinched the match after the second game by building a 14-2 lead. Taylor Hunn led the way for the winners with a 458 series.

Emily Floyd paced Salmen with a 448 series.

It was the final regular season match for both teams, who each finished 5-6.
