Girls Basketball: Fontainebleau back on track with win over Bossier

Area Girls Prep Basketball Report for Saturday, Dec. 29

After losing its first game at the Sidney Smith Invitational tournament at West Monroe to powerful Ouachita Parish, Fontainebleau got on track Friday with a solid 58-43 win over Bossier.

The Bulldogs led 17-11 after one quarter behind eight points from junior Bree Warren and held a 27-24 lead at halftime behind 10 points from senior Shawna Torregano, who scored eight in the second quarter. Fontainebleau expanded the lead to 41-32 after three quarters with Torregano leading the way with 14 points.

Fontainebleau put the game away by outscoring Bossier (6-9) by a 17-11 margin in the final stanza.

Torregano led Fontainebleau with 16 points while Bree Warren finished with 15. Sophomore Brynn Lange had 12 points and sophomore Alexis Lavarine finished with nine points. The Lady Bulldogs (16-5) will play Neville today at noon in the tournament.
