Former Memphis defensive lineman Joseph Dorceus transfers to Tulane

Tulane is adding to its defensive line by grabbing help from an AAC foe.

Former Memphis defensive lineman Joseph Dorceus will join the Green Wave as a graduate transfer.

The former walk-on entered the transfer portal in January after starting the previous two seasons for the Tigers.

The 6-0, 277-pounder has 141 career tackles with 15 sacks over four seasons.

Adding an experienced player like Dorceus may be crucial for Tulane’s efforts to weather the storm of losing defensive line starters Patrick Johnson and Cam Sample to the NFL Draft. However, nose tackle Jeffery Johnson’s brief flirtation with the transfer portal ending this week comes as added good news on that front.
