Former LSU defensive end Quency Wiggins from Madison Prep has decided he will play for Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes. He is the third player this month to leave the program through the transfer portal.

The 6-6, 265 pounder was the seventh ranked player in Louisiana in the 2022 class. He played both basketball and football at Madison Prep but football was something that he decided to dive into as a junior.

Considered very raw as a prospect, Wiggins played in seven contests with the Tigers, recording a career high fourstops against Purdue in last year’s Citrus Bowl. His only action from 2023 was against Georgia State and Army.

It’s thought that Wiggins envisions a real opportunity for playing time with the Buffaloes.

LSU has gained two in the portal – safety Jardin Gilbert (Texas A&M) and wide receiver Zavion Thomas (Mississippi State). Activity has been somewhat light but the early window is only 14 days old and has a 16 days remaining

Early signing begins this Wednesday. That’s when I think that you can expect to see the transfer portal heat up a bit more. The next window for transfers opens in May.
