Former LSU cornerback Denver Harris has chosen his third college in as many years with a planned transfer to UTSA.

The 2022 four-star prospect out of Houston signed with Texas A&M in the 2022 class where he was ranked as the seventh best cornerback and among the top 25 overall players in the country.

Five games into his freshman campaign with the Aggies, he had already been suspended twice and ended up out for the remainder of the 2022 season.

Harris transferred to LSU last spring, head coach Brian Kelly felt the risk was worth it at the time. HE knew there would be some hurdles for Harris to clear.

“We felt with the culture we have put together here that he would make it here because the culture is really strong,” Kelly said last March. He added that it would be Harris’ last chance to play in the SEC. It appears that was a correct assessment.

Harris ran into issues this past August and only played in five games, recording five tackles for the Tigers. He was inactive through much of the season.

With two seasons of eligibility remaining, Harris’ natural ability has garnered him perhaps his final FBS opportunity.
